Women some time do not notice any other early sign of pregnancy, then one day they wake up and see those blue veins on breasts.. they rush to the health forum and type in “I see blue veins across my boobs.. am I pregnant!!“.

When you’re very tuned up to your body, you may actually feel and believe you are pregnant within few days of being pregnant. But a most of the women do not see the early signs of pregnancy and never imagine they may be pregnant right up until they miss the first period. You might be surprised that some are shocked to find they are pregnant even a few months following conceiving !

A missed period -  Is one of the simplest methods to realize you might be pregnant. Menstruation is a normal body event and then for nearly all women, it is an expected monthly cycle between 28 and 35 days. Pregnancy developing is a huge change for the women’s body. Hormonal change, raise in the blood amount, the change in the position of the abdominal, the new baby feeding  organs (breasts, Colostrum) Women may also describe a feeling of heaviness or fullness in the breasts. These symptoms can begin in some women as early as one to two weeks after conception.

Tender breasts – One of the most popular signs of early pregnancy is the feeling of sore (swollen and enlarging) breasts. Tenderness of the breasts can start as early as a few days after conception. If you are pregnant, your breasts will probably become increasingly tender to the touch, similar to the way they feel before your period, only more so. Once your body grows accustomed to the increase in hormones, after the first trimester the pain will subside.

The best thing to do about breast tenderness is to get a better supporting bra.

Dark nipples – One other early sign of pregnancy will be that the nipples may also begin to darken and enlarge. This is called Areolar glands, Glands of Montgomery, Montgomery or Montgomery’s tubercles. These are the tiny “bumps” that are scattered around the areola (the darker area which rings the nipple). These glands will remain enlarged while breastfeeding.

Other breast changes – Occur anytime in the first trimester: Sore and Tender Breasts, Enlarged Breasts, Bumps Around Nipples Enlarged (Montgomery’s Tubercules), Blue Veins on Breasts (Veins More Apparent), Darkening of Areolas, Colostrum, Fullness, Tingling Nipples.

Why do my blood have a blue color ? The blue color just means that this is one of your veins that returns blood to the heart after your body has used the oxygen. Red blood is blood that has come into contact with oxygen. When the oxygen is depleted, blood turns blue.

Are blue veins on breasts 100% sign of pregnancy ? Swollen breasts are a good indication of the changing hormones in your body, but they do not always indicate that you are pregnant. In fact, there are several other potential explanations for this symptom. For example, hormonal imbalances can cause this to happen, even without pregnancy triggering them.

What are other reasons for blue veins on breasts? Because the blue veins and tenderness are caused by the increasing levels of hormones, some birth control pills can cause this to happen as a side effect. It is sometimes a sign that the period will arrive within the next few days, as part of premenstrual syndrome (PMS).
